Hi, this is Brent at Frontier Dental Laboratory, and for your particular case here, we suggest that you do slice preps here. Here’s a photo of some slice preps.
You can see here the doctor sliced through all the interproximals there, keeping the interproximal margins low. Yes, there’s some cord here, which is fine, but you can see we had the doctor slice all the way through.
Now, the reason why you would do this is if you have a canted midline, if you’ve got crowded teeth, if you’ve got rotations and such. We’re trying to even everything out here. Notice that everything is really nice and uniform.
Also notice the inclinations of the preps are also pretty uniform, and they’re all very symmetrical with each other.
So this is the, in general, the way we would suggest that you prep your case.
